1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Cady, a service operated by iRise Business Ventures LLP under the Personhood
brand ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a
legally binding agreement between you and the Company governing your access to and use
of the Cady mobile application and all related services, features, and content
(collectively, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, accessing,
or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be
bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. We reserve
the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use after modifications
constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
To access and use the Service, you must:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
- Not have been previously suspended, removed, or banned from the Service
3. Account Registration
When registering, you agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your credentials, and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
You may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts, impersonating another person, or providing false information may result in immediate termination without refund.
4. Service Description
Cady is an app for meeting and talking to digital people. The Service uses artificial
intelligence to generate responses and power interactions with AI characters.
AI characters are computer-generated entities — not real persons. AI responses are generated algorithmically and may contain errors or inconsistencies. AI responses do not constitute professional advice of any kind and cannot replace human relationships, professional services, or mental health support.
Mental Health Notice: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis
or require emergency assistance, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline
immediately. Cady is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Generate or distribute sexually explicit content or content sexualizing minors
- Harass, abuse, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any person
- Promote violence, terrorism, self-harm, or illegal activities
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code
- Use automated scripts, bots, or data mining tools without authorization
- Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without written authorization
- Attempt to manipulate AI systems to produce harmful or policy-violating content
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit through the Service ("User Content"). By
submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free,
sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and
display such content in connection with operating and improving the Service, including
for AI training purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy.
Content generated by AI characters is owned by the Company. You receive a limited,
personal, non-commercial license to use it for your personal enjoyment.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by the Company
and protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws.
"Personhood," "Cady," and all related names and logos are trademarks of the Company.
8. Subscriptions & Payments
The Service offers free and premium subscription tiers. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests are handled according to the policies of those platforms. No refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through app settings or by emailing
support@cady.social.
We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice for breach of these Terms,
fraudulent or abusive activity, non-payment of fees, or discontinuation of the Service.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE,
OR ERROR-FREE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE
FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT
OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU
PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM; OR (B) USD $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates from
and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and fees arising out of
or relating to your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your use of the
Service.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before initiating formal proceedings,

informal resolution within sixty (60) days.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration
under the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Seat: Hyderabad, Telangana,
India. Language: English. Class action waiver applies to the extent permitted by law.
14. General Provisions
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between
you and the Company regarding the Service. If any provision is held invalid or
unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
